The hidden sound with the hidden message can indeed be found in the game by anyone, it was placed there by the developers with a purpose (to reward the players with a little bonus), and the same result can be achieved by anyone who follows the same steps I did. I'm sorry if it sounds like nonsense to you, I tried to explain it the best way possible and I didn't make up any of it. I'm an upright person and I only posted about this because I was so excited to have found the Easter egg (and I put so much work into it)! I would never ever post a link to harmful content. do you expect people to click on random links ? Originally posted by mardavrio:Hmmm, sorry ,although intrigued, this looks like a load of nonsense and seriously. Https ://goo.gl /iyPHsQ (remove the spaces) If the short URL above doesn't work for you, try with HTTPS protocol: Thank you so much Krillbite Studio for this challenge, it was awesome! :D I hope it's OK for me to reveal the secret here, I couldn't resist.Īnd kudos to my boyfriend for his precious help! <3 (Remove the space after gl, Steam apparently doesn't allow shortened URLs.) We still weren't sure about all the remaining characters, so we tried different combinations of upper-case and lower-case letters, and we finally found the complete message: He almost immediately noticed that the first part of the message was goo.gl! Then he edited the image and squished it down to make it more readable: I couldn't really tell what the message was at first (the beginning looked like "GOD" to me), so I asked my boyfriend, Paddy, to help me with it. I ran the audio sample in Sonic Visualiser adding a spectrogram layer, and then zoomed in the spectrogram, and this is what it showed (repeated several times): Here is the sound file that I recorded from the game: I decided to record the sound pattern, and after investigating a bit about hidden text in sound files, I came across this free program called Sonic Visualiser, which allows the visualisation of hidden text within the spectrogram of an audio file. The wind will push you in that direction, just move around a bit until you find a little branch with leaves, which is below a broken large tree branch, and you'll hear the sound. It can be heard on the left side of the screen after being hit by the third wind gust. I also noticed that this sound effect did not occur anywhere else in the game, only in that specific spot. I began exploring all the areas and "hidden" corners in the environment, when I suddenly reached a spot where I could hear this weird, unnatural sound which had a distinct, repeated pattern. IF YOU WANT TO TRY TO FIND THE HIDDEN SOUND/MESSAGE BY YOURSELF, STOP READING RIGHT NOW )Īfter reading the recent announcement by Krillbite Studio, I was curious about the "hidden sound with a hidden message" that has been included with the new update, so I decided to replay the game to try to find it. However we ought to make a proper tutorial on how virtual audio cable can be used to connect Wallpaper Engine's audio input solely to Spotify and others.WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. It's a huge amount of work to cover some very specific situation and we'd likely have to develop driver software on kernel level which is something we would rather avoid doing for numerous reasons. What virtual audio cable or VoiceMeeter can do really makes them worth applications in their own right. Sorry, but implementing anything in this direction really goes out of scope for Wallpaper Engine right now. Else, just implant a full scale audio delayer in the visualizer tool. Now I have to use VoiceMeeter which is very CPU intensive. It would be very helpful if it can pull data from input side of Equalizer APO instead of the output so that the virtual audio routing will be much easier. Originally posted by leowzd:This is asking for a lot, but is it possible to implant Equalizer APO support as a part of the visualizer tool or as a plugin? I really want music visualization to work in sync with what I hear and I want resolution in the lower frequencies (50-200Hz).
